Sarah is absolutely wonderful. Clear instructions during a well-structured lesson, with everything explained in excellent detail so that when left on my own I could remember (almost all) I had to do, and in which order.
As much as anything, I love that she uses subtlety and gentle tones for an amazingly natural look. I feel that I now have the building blocks from which to create different levels of made-up-ness, depending on the occasion and time of day.

I would recommend her 200%! And I am so much looking forward to consulting her again when I need to refresh my look.

Had a fantastic few hours with Sarah this week, learning such a lot about how to prep skin before make up and then how to place make up and applying various techniques. I have truly learnt such a lot . The literature Sarah has provided since my make up lesson has also been so helpful , I am sure I will be referring to this a lot, I’m hoping practice will make perfect. My sister and I had a joint lesson with Sarah. Her knowledge and skills were amazing- and she is also a superb teacher. Her texts and emails before the lesson was lovely, and she made sure that she covered everything we were wanting to learn.She went the extra mile, with snacks, drinks and a goody bag for each of us, and also gave us brilliant handouts to use after the lesson. I cannot recommend Sarah enough- her lessons are fun as well as incredibly informative. Her suggestions and ideas were not restricted to luxury brands, making everything feel manageable. She is great.

What a great experience it was having a make up lesson with Sarah. Having lost a bit of confidence about what products to use and needing an update on application techniques, Sarah hit just the right note. Duo Makeup Lesson (Friends)

A friend and I spent an amazing afternoon with Sarah learning how to apply make-up for a natural, everyday look that we could then enhance for evening or events. Neither of us wear much make-up and are totally daunted by the huge range of products available if you go to a typical shop counter - not to mention we don’t want to look like the vast majority of overly made up salespeople! Sarah has such a lovely set-up and a really welcoming, warm and understanding attitude. She demonstrated how to apply the various products on herself and we then copied her ... and it was so easy! Eyeshadow went on perfectly, a slightly smoky eyeliner look was a doddle to do (who knew!), redness and blemishes disappeared but our skin still looked natural and dewy. We learnt so many easy-to-repeat tricks that we would never have known without this session - like where to apply your blusher (hint, it’s not where you think), how to use your mascara wand to best effect, how to get your make-up to stay put all day, using hairspray on your eyebrows...wow!

Thank you Sarah for your patience and encouragement (and for the lovely snacks and treats!) and the result is that people have asked if I’ve been on holiday or had my hair done. No-one has noticed that my make-up is different ... and that’s just what we wanted.

I booked in to have a make up lesson with Sarah and I have to say it was absolutely fantastic so interesting and fun and very worthwhile. I have always loved using make up but Sarah showed me a completely new way to go about application and the look was flawless and professional. If you love make up and want to learn proper technique or just want a new look Sarah is the person to go to.

Had a brilliant make-up lesson, as needed to overhaul my very basic makeup bag. I was able to practice the technique on one side of my face after she demonstrated it on the other. It addition to new make-up tips, have also come away with skin care suggestions which have been excellent for my combination skin. Very professional and elegantly done make-up, thanks Sarah!

As a birthday treat, I recently had a full makeup lesson with Sarah and she showed me exactly where I've been going wrong all these years! She has loads of great tips, is able to work with different styles of makeup (from natural to dramatic) and sends you away with lots of reminder sheets/video links etc. If you've never been taught how to properly apply your makeup, or just want a change to your routine, then I highly recommend Sarah to you 

Private One to One  Makeup Session

I saw Sarah for a 2 hour lesson - probably 20 years overdue, as I have certainly been winging it up until now! I was really looking forward it & was not disappointed! I gained tips for a natural everyday look, as well as more striking features for going out/evening look. Sarah 100% kept to my brief of keeping it natural at all times, and I left feeling like I was still in my own face, just looking my best! I really liked the way she did one side of my face and I practiced on the other - unbelievably it wasn't too asymmetrical! Sarah recommends a range of different products and doesn't plug one brand, so genuinely independent advice.  2 Hour Makeup Training

Took a course with Sarah and was worth every penny! She creates a very relaxed atmosphere and has great patience and understanding of individual needs.  Private One to One Makeup Session

I received a lesson from Sarah, specifically to learn how to make my eyebrows look better, as they are so fair and sparse. Sarah gave advice re the correct brush to use and also what colour would suit me best. She did one side, clearly explaining what she was doing, then I did the other side while she spoke me through it again. The result was fantastic! My brows were defined without looking fake and they framed my face perfectly!

Sarah also taught me eyeshadow blending technique - something I was not at all confident with before - and eyeliner too. She finally explained re finding the correct foundation for my skin tone and also blusher and highlighting - the whole package!

Sarah makes the techniques easy to understand and she's patient too. I will feel more confident in practicing and applying my makeup.

I began speaking to Sarah with regards to skin care and she gave me fantastic advice and followed this on with a 2 hour make up lesson. Sarah was so professional and helped me from skin care to eye make up application to eyebrows. I also received several handouts and information with everything covered in the lesson. I would like to say a huge thank you to Sarah for today's lesson. I'm a new makeup artist and want to do editorial work but this is an area that is new to me. Makeup Training

I am an aspiring make up artist and had a make up lesson with Sarah E Baldwin - Professional Make-Up Artist a couple weekends ago and learnt so much from her! She is so friendly and makes you feel comfortable and welcome as soon as you meet her. In an hour and a half I felt like I learnt more with her than I had when I attended a years night time course at a college. Sarah keeps in contact afterwards as well, checking in to see how you are doing and if you have any questions, which is fantastic. If you go to one of her lessons you will get to meet her beautiful puppy Freya, you will come away with a goodie bag and finally feel like you have come away with a friend. I really couldn't recommend Sarah enough

Makeup Training

I recently had a one to one bridal make-up lesson catered especially for me as I have skills in place already that I felt I needed to build on. Sarah is really lovely and informative and immediately makes you feel at ease. She communicated well with me beforehand and was really good at explaining the looks and techniques during the lesson. Makeover

I was looking for a very specific look for the ball I was going to and Sarah recreated it perfectly for me. Prior to my appointment she asked plenty of questions and took my photos so that she could assess the look and make it work for me- and that she did! I was overwhelmed when I saw the result and so pleased with how great it looked on. Sarah was absolutely lovely and really made me feel comfortable, it was like having your makeup done by a friend. Makeup Lesson

I absolutely loved my bridal and grungy smokey eye lesson with Sarah. She kindly supplied a lovely model for me to practise and create the final looks on and gave me some fantastic tips and guidance on my application techniques. What a great makeup artist Sarah is. I booked a 6 hour lesson to just refresh my techniques and I got so much out of it. I learnt I actually knew a lot and Sarah gave me the confidence to carry on. I have had many lessons with Sarah over time and the last one I had was one of the best ones, we did a 60s look using blacks and whites on the eyes and some false lashes, also a dark red lip stain which was really nice, I really enjoyed doing this look, it was lots of fun, I really recommend makeup lessons with Sarah if you feel you're lacking In a certain area, or if you just want to learn more about makeup, I know I have learned a lot more than before I started for sure. Makeup Lesson

I got in touch with Sarah as I really wanted to brush up on my make-up skills and re-create some of her beautiful looks from her website! Sarah was incredibly patient and really went out of her way to help me with my techniques and also provided me with a list of products and brushes which we used on the day which was immensely useful! The only downside was that the 2hrs flew by but it was amazing what we covered within that time.  Makeup Training

I had an amazing lesson from Sarah today. She taught me how to do a natural look and smokey eyes. Also how to get an even finish of foundation, how to blend in makeup, and how to take care of my skin. Sarah gave me my own folder of sheets telling me about different types of skin, how long shelf life of different types of make up are, different websites for make up and brushes that she would recommend etc. Next lesson she is going to teach me how to do contouring makeup and also how to do a look with bright colours which I am excited about. Sarah also gave me a goody bag with a palette of smokey eye shadows, eye primer, lip plump/gloss, lip sticks, moisturiser, blusher and samples of different Dermalogica products. She showed me her portfolio of photos, from shoots of models whose makeup she had done which were mostly really colourful, interesting and neat.
