I am very excited to have you here today. I love to spread the honest truth regarding makeup and let me tell you today, makeup primers are definitely not needed. I have been a makeup artist for 13 years and I have not had a primer in my kit for 7 of those. Yep that is correct, maybe even a little longer.
Brands make you feel like you need primers for your makeup to stay on. (with all their fancy advertising). That is the biggest load of BS. The best thing you can do for your makeup to stay on, is to have a damm good skin routine and make sure your skincare is silicone based or water based, then make sure this marries with your foundation and concealer. You need all silicone based products or all water based, for your makeup to stay put. As well as good makeup applications. Get these things right and you will never look back. Perfect makeup every time.
Ingredients in Primers - The main ingredient in primers is usually silicone, sometimes brands use water as their main ingredient. And where can these ingredients be found? Yep that is right, already in your skincare and makeup. Therefore why spend more money on ingredients you already have
No brainer….
