Tuesday 21st November - What a busy couple of months. Fashion shows, weddings and photoshoots along with my sideline of Bodyshop has certainly kept me busy. It can be a challenging job being a makeup artist as you are busy a lot of the time so it is a fine balance making sure you also keep on top of all your social media channels, blogs, client work, weddings, shoots the list goes on. Unfortunately the blogging did fall to the side. But I am pleased to report I am now back to my blogging, sharing all things makeup related for you all. With that in mind you can see my new blog by clicking here, and you can have a good peek at some new pro kit essentials I have recently purchased.
Monday 2nd Ocotber - Wow where has the time gone. I was away on holiday 21st August - 5th September. Me and my fiance went to a luxury hotel in Gran Canaria. Just the most perfect holiday, hotel was stunning as was the views. I had serious holiday blues when I returned. Since getting back I have been playing catch up with business. It has been a busy few weeks. I got a brand new super fast PC, thank goodness. I was so restricted with my old one. Which was putting a lot of my work on hold. Especially updates for my online coiurse material. Not anymore :) I have just today uploaded a new BONUS GUIDE on skin tones and undertones. You can see the course here. Just last week I organised a beauty photo shoot. Again me doing the photography. I am really enjoying taking my own images for my portfolio. Here is one of the images from the shoot. Clean dewy, glowing skin. My favourite skin to do on a beauty shoot.
Saturday 12th August 2017 - Oh my goodness where has the time gone these last couple of months, I have being so busy. I have not had time to sit and be on my website. I have been filming for a rum campaign, I also had a few days up in the Highlands doing the makeup for a couple from Hong Kong who wished to have wedding images taken, a great couple of days with Dave Stewart Photographer. I have been very busy teaching my online client's, creating new course content, doing my one to one training sessions and weddings. I also was promoted for Manager with The Bodyshop, I do The Bodyshop at Home which has being an amazing opportunity. I am really enjoying the products and helping my customers and of course the extra money has been amazing. I have also undertaken another model shoot in which I did the photography, you can see the image opposite. For this shoot I wanted to create some depth of shadows. I am still learning with my photography, but really enjoying taking images of all different topics to help with my skill set.
Monday 26th June 2017 - Hi everyone, so recently I have undertaken photography so I am able to produce my own work for my portfolio, I started photography last year and I have to say I am really enjoying it. I have shot with agency models over the last 6 months which has really helped boost my portfolio with different looks. I have also shot a client's party event and done a lot of before and afters to market my makeup lessons and courses. Deciding to try photography has and is one of the most beneficial business decisions I have made recently. I have control over what I shoot, when I shoot and the final images. I will continue to also work with other photographers as this is also a very important part of being a makeup artist but having this extra sideline is really helping boost my business. Below are some of the images I have taken for my portfolio.
Thursday 15th June - Drum roll for exciting news this week. VIDEO CONTENT IS NOW LIVE - For my Online Makeup Course in mastering a light smoked eye with individual eyelashes. Friday 21st April 2017 - So back in February 2016 I was asked to help my makeup idol Caroline Saulnier on a high end makeup job she was working on. This was for Make Up For Ever at famous photographer Rankin's studio in London. Please see below some of the images from the 2 day advertising campaign. Caroline is a highly respected artist in the industry,, I have followed her work for many years so to be able to work with her for a couple of days was a real highlight in my career.

Friday 21st April - NEW VIDEO - On the brand new contouring palette from The Bodyshop, and I have to say I am LOVING THESE SHADES. The shader shade is beautiful and mimics the natural shadows that fall on your face. Perfect.
P.S - PLEASE NOTE - Subject had fake tan on up to her jawline, which would not come off. Hence the fair area of skin around the back of her hair, compared to the rest of her face. If I was to apply foundation that was the same colour as this and not her neck, she would have had a pale face and dark neck, not a good look.
